Forward Curved Centrifugal Fans
Efficient, Cost Effective Forward Curved Single or Double Inlet Centrifugal Fans
Forward curved centrifugal fans integrated with AC or EC Ecofit motors allow for convenient speed control and a constant reliable airflow particularly in confined spaces. Due to a high number of blades on the impeller, high performance is achieved with low noise generation.
Many of the fans in the range have external rotor motors. These are usually contained within the width of the fan housing, thus saving the space normally occupied by a standard motor. They are located in the air stream, so temperature is limited, and are generally of protection class IP44, so the air needs to be clean and dry to avoid motor contamination.
Low cost speed control is possible by supply voltage variation, either by electronic (triac) method or by transformer. As the scroll housings of single inlet fans are in fabricated steel it is possible to have detachable discharge flanges, which means that the fan can be mounted on its air inlet side.
Stable, Reliable and Efficient Airflow with Enhanced Monitoring Capabilities
Ecofit forward curved centrifugal fans not only feature high efficient EC motors surpassing ERP regulations, but also have built-in failure monitoring systems to detect failures of individual fans or failures of fans within a deck. Failures are monitored via a normally closed contact within the motor which is calibrated to open when the fan speed drops below a set level.
Single Inlet Centrifugal fans are suitable for higher pressure applications and commonly used to pressurise air moving applications. Air enters via one side of the housing via the impeller and up through the exhaust outlet changing the direction of airflow. Due to high pressure performance single inlet fans are ideal in applications requiring ongoing air filtration and can maintain a constant flow during blocked filtration as the pressures increase.
Double inlet centrifugal fans are suitable for any lower pressure applications requiring a high-volume flow particularly in small spaces. The benefit is its ability to achieve high volumes of airflow due to a wider scroll housing and dual air inlet, drawing in a higher volume of air up through its wider exhaust outlet.
