Learning the EC Way – Specialist Training Workshops from Axair & Rosenberg

Together with our German supply partners, Rosenberg, we recently held a number of training workshops to provide a comprehensive guide to energy saving and electronically commutated fans.

Held in the picturesque and peaceful surroundings of The Upper House Hotel in Barlaston, Staffordshire, we were joined by Christan Dorsch, Product Manager – EC Technology at Rosenberg and his colleague Manuel Kircher, Development Engineer – EC Technology.  Between them, Christian and Manuel possess almost 20 years’ experience in air movement and both have very impressive electrical engineering credentials.

Our invite only guests were treated to a number of informative seminars covering topics such as, set up, control, monitoring and problem solving. The sessions were very hands on and featured practical demonstrations and explanations, as well as basic problem solving tests. Attendees also got the chance to see Rosenberg’s voice activated blue tooth control system, ‘Rosie’. Supported by an Android app, Rosie lets the user control a control a Rosenberg EC Fan from any location, without having to directly access the unit or dismantle the fan.  The voice activated technology means the system is slick and simple to use, making fan control almost effortless, all you need is a TIA-485-A to Bluetooth Converter and of course an Android device.

Attendees were very impressed with ‘Rosie’ but also emphasised the overall benefit of attending workshops like these. “We selected a specific set of existing customers that we thought would benefit from sessions like these and they didn’t disappoint” said Andrew Boston, Axair’s Product Sales Engineer for Rosenberg. “Rosie really caused a flutter but everyone I’ve spoken to this week said they had learned something new and lots of them were keen to know if we would be running similar events in future so that their colleagues could attend. Some of the companies that came today even bought customers or installers with them, it was a chance to try before you buy as such and see these innovative EC products in action.” he added.
