Rosenberg: A Supplier Profile

As we welcome in the New Year we thought now would be as good a time as any to tell you more about our supply partners. Over the next few months we will be profiling each of our suppliers, giving you a greater insight into their history, their location, their products and their specialisms. We are kicking things off with a two-part special on one of
our largest partners, the Rosenberg Group.

Headquartered in Künzelsau, in south central Germany, the main Rosenberg site is neighboured by international outfits, the Würth Group and STAHL. Situated on the river Kocher, the area is not particularly popular with tourists, despite the fact that the region is known for camping, hiking and canoeing. The town is also home to a number of local wineries and is blessed with some charming architecture such as the picturesque old Town Hall building and the rather grand Künzelsau Castle.

Founded by Karl Rosenberg in 1981, Rosenberg opened their first overseas branches within two years. By the turn of the millennium they had sites in no less than 12 different countries and had acquired French fan manufacturers, Ecofit and ETRI, both of whom are also Axair supply partners.

Today, the Rosenberg Group have 45 global sales offices with a worldwide team of 1, 400 employees. All products in the Rosenberg range are developed and manufactured in their own production facilities. These span 4 continents and include sites in Italy, France, Slovakia and China. Alongside fan manufacturing facilities they also have a founding factory, a punching factory, a motor manufacturing factory, and an AHU (Air Handling Unit) manufacturing factory. Rosenberg also conduct product testing at their facilities, measuring and analysing technical characteristics such as noise emissions and volume flow. For partners and customers, this self-facilitating structure means greater flexibility for bespoke projects and solutions, along with shorter lead times.

A statement on the Rosenberg company website reads “Air is our element – moving it intelligently and efficiently is our passion.” This ethos combined with their experience, infrastructure and expert German Engineering has enabled them to work with some very impressive clients including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Coca-Cola and Microsoft.

So, what kind of projects have they undertaken for these prestigious customers? What are Rosenberg’s specialisms and what does their range include? Look out for part 2 of the profile to find out more. If you can’t wait until then, please contact one of our Product Engineers today.
