Axair: Giving The Gift Of Christmas Cheer…

We think you’ll agree that at Christmas time, there’s no better sight than seeing the smile and excitement of a child upon receiving a gift from Santa or a loved one. This year the Axair team decided to help to put a smile on a child’s face by donating gifts to a local charity, The Salvation Army.

MIKEMillions of children and young people have benefited from the gifts donated to The Salvation Army over many years, so in 2015 by giving a gift to the Christmas present appeal the Axair team can make a real difference to a child’s life at Christmas.

The Salvation Army, an International church and charity, is one of the UK’s largest and most diverse providers of social services after the Government. Through its network of 800 churches and social service centres, The Salvation Army works with thousands of children and families in society who are most in need.

Many of the families linked to the local partner agencies, such as single-parent support networks and family centres have come to rely on the toys donated to the charity.

Presents2The Axair Fans team have collectively gathered more than 30 presents for the initiative, ranging from soft toys, board games, craft equipment and CD’s all relevant for children in the age range from birth to teenagers. Our team members Debra & Mike, met with Kathryn from the local Salvation Army, who was accompanied by the friendly and talented charity band playing at M&S Wolstanton. We believe every child deserves a new gift at Christmas and are therefore proud to have been able to support the charity this festive season.

Axair will also be sporting a Christmas Knit on Friday 18th December in support of Text Santa, you can help to raise money for Text Santa by posting a selfie with the hashtag #textsantatruprint and Truprint will donate £1 for each selfie snapped. Alternatively, stay tuned to ITV1 during the Text Santa coverage and text a donation to the National text line number.

Have a very Happy Christmas and remember, everyone deserves a little Christmas Cheer….
