In some situations it is better to extract warm air from the roof of an electrical enclosure than via fans mounted inside the door panels. This is often the case when the density of equipment within a cabinet is so high that there is no room for ventilation fans.
The ‘T’ range of roof mounted units provides the panel builder with an efficient solution based on centrifugal fans rather than the more usual axial types. Centrifugal fans have the advantage of providing sustainable air flow, even when the equipment density is impeding air flow and filters are becoming dirty.
It is recommended that filtration should take place at the air inlet to the enclosure (unless it has an open base) – see our page for fan/filter units
All ‘T’ range models mount on the roof and have no projection inside the enclosure.
